Adoption Travel During Coronavirus
Cradle of Hope Adoption Center is pleased to announce that it has been accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan to provide adoption services for Kazak orphans.
This is the only US adoption agency currently accredited to work in Kazakhstan.
Cradle of Hope is looking for a few pilot families to begin the KZ adoption process. Available children are between 18 months and 10 years old, including sibling groups, with minor and/or correctible health issues. Children with significant special needs are available on a reduced fee basis.
The adoption process in Kazakhstan will take approximately one year. After USCIS approval and dossier submission, a referral is expected within a few months and will include detailed medical information, photos and video. Adopting parents will travel to meet the child a few months later. They will have a month-long acclimation period where they visit the child every day, followed by a court hearing, then will return to the US for approximately six weeks.
One parent must return to KZ for approximately two weeks to complete the adoption, obtain the child’s US immigrant visa, and bring the child home. Families will be supported by bilingual guides throughout the adoption process.
Families interested in adopting from Kazakhstan should be between 30 and 55 years old, married for at least two years or single, and in good health.
