CHSFS began working with China in 1992 and were one of the first agencies entrusted by CCAA to find families for waiting children through its special needs program in the late 1990s. CHSFS has successfully found families for more than 300 waiting children from China in the past five years. We’ve successfully matched more than 70 children using CCAA’s online system. WACAP has built a genuine relationship with Chinese governmental adoption offices and brought more than 1,500 Chinese children home to their adoptive families. WACAP advocates for many waiting infants, toddlers and children who have minor to serious special needs or who are older or siblings. These waiting child adoptions tend to take much less time than the adoption of a healthy infant.
