Adoption is far off in the future for me- I'm only 25 and not even married, but I am researching the legal elements of international adoption and child custody for a clinic at my law school, both for this spring semester and for the fall as well. I would love to gather testimony about how the international adoption and custody system might be improved, especially by federal and state laws, to take into account the rights of the original parents and birthmothers, the children, and the adopting parents themselves.
