I'm a journalist with a special interest in adoption. My writing has appeared in Salon.com, Adoptive Families, Brain Child and Utne, among others. I operate Open Adoption Support, a social networking site for families and individuals living with or interested in openness in adoption.

I'm also mom to two children, Noah and Madison. Madison joined our family in an open, transracial adoption in 2004.
