Be a Hero!
Help a child find a family today

Be a Hero: Help Children Find Families Now!

As you know, November is National Adoption Month. But how can you really make a difference in the life of a child, and get the word out to people who are open to adoption? The answer to both questions is: Very Easily!

RainbowKids brings you two great ways to advocate for kids!

First, commit to placing two of our Advocacy Posters in public places. These posters easily download and print onto an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper. Each poster has the potential to reach hundreds of people with a simple message: Children are waitingboth domestically and internationally. Please make this simple commitment today. You may never know how many children's lives you have touched by doing so.

Second, think for a moment about who you may know who has a website or blog. It doesn't need to be adoption relatedjust a website or blog that people visit. Consider approaching this person about adding a link to the Waiting Child Area of RainbowKids. It can be a simple link to http://www.rainbowkids.com/wc or, to really get people's attention in a more direct way, we provide a Simple Script, a basic html script, that can be added to a website and will allow our waiting child rotating photo from our site to appear on any other website. What visitors will see is:

With each visitor the child's image will change to another waiting child. When clicked on, a new browser will open and the visitor will directly go into the area where the child appears. Please consider linking to us today using this script and help children to find families!

Such simple efforts can lead to amazing outcomes for children and families. Print your posters today, and call or email someone you know who has a website. The children have waited long enough. Let's work together to bring them home. --Martha Osborne

Hi Barbara: You need to insert it from the html view. Just place your curser where you would like the picture to appear, then insert the code in the html view and it should show up (once you upload to the server).- MarthaO
Martha, can you give exact instructions for inserting the html on my website?- Barbara
Lori and Carol, Thank you! I was visiting a blog today and just ran into one of the posters being featured on the blog. The word is getting out...let's keep the momentum going! - MarthaO
I have printed copies of your posters and plan to hang them in our church. I have just started an adoption ministry and we are working to get the word out ...Adoption is great!- Lori
Not sure if you remember me, Martha, but you were an inspiration to our family years ago. We emailed a few times and I felt encouraged to move forward with adopting an older child. BEST decision we ever made! Emma is now 11 and simply amazing, a blessing. I've printed out 4 posters and promised to get them up!- Carol Rangley
